Pueblo, Colo. - Sept. 6, 2017 - Electric provider Black Hills Energy today named Vance Crocker to the position of vice president of the company's operations in Southern Colorado. Christopher Burke, who was in the role, is no longer with the company.

Crocker holds the top leadership position in Colorado at the electric utility level and is responsible for all aspects of managing the company's Colorado electric operations. Black Hills Energy serves 95,000 electric customers in 21 Southern Colorado communities, including Pueblo, Canon City, Florence, Rocky Ford and Westcliffe.

'Vance is excited to join the team in Colorado and introduce himself to communities that Black Hills serves,' said Linn Evans, president and chief operating officer for Black Hills Corp. 'Black Hills works hard every day to provide our customers with the safe, reliable and valued energy service they expect. Vance's leadership and experience will help our Southern Colorado team continue their commitment to our customers and to the future of the communities we serve.'

Crocker joined Black Hills in 1990 as a transmission and distribution engineer. He most recently served as vice president of operations for the company's electric utility serving South Dakota, northeast Wyoming and Montana. Prior to that, Crocker was the general manager of Black Hill Energy's natural gas utility in Kansas.

'I'm eager to meet with the people of Southern Colorado,' Crocker said. 'I'm committed to listen, learn and forge relationships in the communities we serve.'

Crocker will be located in Pueblo, Black Hills Energy's Colorado electric headquarters.
