Keeping up with the Donald J. Trump’s 2016 Presidential run has been daunting for the media.

In the summer of 2015, when Trump first announced his run for the presidency – the day after Jeb Bush, the GOP establishment candidate announced- the corporate media (CM) pounced on him.

After one or two polls indicating Trump’s ascending after an onslaught of criticism did not dent him, the corporate media backed off for months.

CM concluded that “Trump rewrote the playbook” on how to run for president so they were going to bootstrap him into national political legitimacy in an effort to get the Donald to stop calling them stupid.

Yet under the CM’s radar during this entire political season- as the Trump political wave continued to rise- an under tow of fascism and racial hostility has been dragging the national political landscape into the abyss.

Yet, even CM’s sterile coverage of Trump cannot ignore when African-Americans are physically attacked at his campaign rallies; usually after Trump himself urges supporters to do so.

“Get them out of here,” Trumped bellowed to his legion of White bigots on February 29, 2016 at Georgia’s Valdosta State University. He was pointing to a group of Black VSU students silently sitting way in the back of the auditorium who had come to hear Trump speak.

You know where they would have been taken just a few decades ago right?

Trump’s army of White goons along with the Secret Service and Valdosta police rushed in and pounced on the students quietly attending an event on their own campus.

Cable news covered it as objectively as a hockey game between two opposing teams.

The day before, Trump quoted Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini on Twitter, garnering absolutely no attention whatsoever until later.

@ilduce2016: “It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep.” – @realDonaldTrump.

The GOP may be guiltily of underestimating Trump- albeit they paved the way for him with decades of racially coded political language-  but CM is completely enabling him with their timid coverage.

Even more startling, when you step back and look at the entire arch of the Trump family’s regarding race, it all becomes painfully clear.

Here is what Mitt Romney, the GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee, said recently about Trump’s presidential run.

“I am far from the first to conclude that Donald Trump lacks the temperament to be president. After all, this is an individual who mocked a disabled reporter, who attributed a reporter’s questions to her menstrual cycle. He creates scapegoats of Muslims and Mexican immigrants, he calls for the use of torture and for killing the innocent children and family members of terrorists. He cheers assaults on protesters. He applauds the prospect of twisting the Constitution to limit first amendment freedom of the press. This is the very brand of anger that has led other nations into the abyss.”

Just how dangerous is Trump? All you have to do is read the headlines from Trump’s epic tabloid past – Trump himself denies that the following incident took place and whether it was his father involved.

It starts in June, 1927 when the New York Times reports that The Donald’s father Fredrick C. Trump was arrested at riotous KKK rally in Queens. The “battle” between “1,000 Klansmen and 100 policemen” was “a free-for-all.”  The Klan was denounced by the city’s Police Commissioner, Joseph A. Warren.

“The Klan not only wore gowns, but had hoods over their faces almost completely hiding their identity,” Warren told the Times. He also named seven men “arrested in the near-riot of the parade.”

One of them the Police Commissioner told the Times was “Fred Trump of 175-24 Devonshire Road, Jamaica(Queens).”

When confronted about the story by another New York Times reporter on September 22, 2015, their exchange went like this.

NYT:Growing up, you lived on Wareham Place?

TRUMP: We lived on Wareham, prior to my father building that one [on Midland Parkway] which was right next door but a street away.

NYT: Did your father live on Devonshire Road before that?

TRUMP: That was a different one, that’s where my grandmother lived and my father, early on.

NYT:Have you seen this story about police arresting a Fred Trump who lived at that Devonshire address in 1927 after a Ku Klux Klan rally turned violent?

TRUMP:Totally false. We lived on Wareham. The Devonshire — I know there is a road Devonshire but I don’t think my father ever lived on Devonshire.

NYT:The Census shows that he lived there with your mother there. But regardless, you never heard about that story?

TRUMP.It never happened.

Obviously it did happen and Trump knew it. Why admit then try to walk back where Trump’s dad lived?

Fast forward to the 1970’s.

The Donald was sued by the Justice Department when his real estate company, Trump Management, had refused to rent apartments to African-American, violating the Fair Housing Act.

The New York Times reported that “the Government contended that Trump Management had refused to rent or negotiate rentals because of race and color.” It also charged that the company had required different rental terms and conditions because of race and that it had misrepresented to blacks that apartments were not available.”

The Donald had learned the art of discrimination through his racist father, who had also been sued in the past for it, but usually settled through “quiet diplomacy.”

The Donald, on the other hand hired high priced, big mouth lawyers and held bombastic press conferences defending discrimination against minorities.

The New York Times wrote at the time that Trump “accused the Justice Department of singling out his corporation because it was a large one and because the Government was trying to force it to rent to welfare recipients. Trump added that if welfare recipients were allowed into his apartments in certain middle-class outer-borough neighborhoods, there would be a ‘massive fleeing from the city of not only our tenants, but communities as a whole.’ ”

In a 1990 Vanity Fair profile or Trump alleged that Trump admired Hitler and owned a copy of the German dictator’s speeches translated into English.

Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.

Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”

“I don’t remember,” I said.

“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)

Later, Trump returned to this subject. “If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”

Trump’s take on the Central Park Jogger Rape saga from the 1980’s is equally shocking.

On a April 1989 evening between 8 and 9PM,  a White Solomon Brothers investment banker, Trisha Meili, was bashed in the head with a brick and brutally raped.

Five ethnic minority youth- dubbed the “Wolfpack” by the media – were picked up and eventually tried. Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Kharey Wise— were all African American and Hispanic and never had a chance at a fair trail.

In May, 1989, Donald Trump piled on taking out a full-page ad in the Daily News about the case.

The full page add read:

“How can our great society tolerate the continued brutalization of its citizens by crazed misfits? Criminals must be told that their CIVIL LIBERTIES END WHEN AN ATTACK ON OUR SAFETY BEGINS!” And his headline suggested what ought to be done with them: BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY. BRING BACK OUR POLICE!”

The much demonized so-called “Wolf Pack” were all convicted despite the fact they were indeed all innocent of the crime they allegedly committed.

It wasn’t until 2002, when Matias Reyes confessed to the rape and his DNA matched him to the crime was the “Wolfpack” renamed the “Central Park Five” and released from jail.

In 2014, New York City awarded The Central Park Five $250 million for destroying their lives and admitted that the city, not the minority kids rounded up at the time, had themselves committed a monstrous act against them in overreaction to a White woman who was raped.

But Trump- DNA exoneration withstanding- still thinks to this day, that the Central Park Five are guiltily based on the fact that they are all minorities.

Trump tweeted on April 21, 2013:

“Tell me, what were they doing in the park, playing checkers?”

Trump has always reveaed his true colors.
