It has already had plenty of people through its doors in its first few weeks of opening and Banyan is sure to attract plenty of interest for its Easter promotion.

The new bar and restaurant, which is where Jamie's Italian used to be at Monument in the heart of Newcastle city centre, opened its doors in style at the end of March with a free ice cream giveaway and a series of packed out VIP launch nights.

And it has a big trick up its sleeve for Easter - a dining lottery with free food and drinks.

From Thursday, April 18 until Easter Sunday, the 300th customer to dine at Banyan Newcastle each day will, receive their meal and drinks on the house.

The lucky winners will be notified and congratulated when their bill arrives, along with some surprises for the table.

Martin Wolstencroft, chief executive of Arc Inspirations said: ”Since opening last month, the response we have received from the city has been phenomenal and more than we ever could’ve hoped.

"Like our new menu, we wanted to create something fun and unique for our Newcastle venue.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to Banyan and we want to thank a few lucky diners for their support!”
