Two national retail chains have each built their second Yukon stores on E Main Street, looking to mirror the success of Yukon’s busy Walmart Neighborhood Market.

AutoZone and Dollar Tree will open in the Yukon Crossing-Phase II development just west of Oklahoma’s highest-sales volume Walmart market on Highway 66.

Construction is winding down, a large marquee sign is up and shelves are being stocked inside AutoZone’s 7,381-square-foot building at 835 E Main.

Project contractor Texas Alliance Group Inc. filed a $800,000 new commercial construction permit in November 2023 with the City of Yukon’s Development Services Department.

AutoZone, the largest retailer of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories in the U.S., will soon open its second location in Yukon.

The company’s first Yukon store is at 1150 Garth Brooks Boulevard just south of Vandament Avenue.

Two driveways along Yukon Crossing Avenue serve Yukon’s new AutoZone on E Main. There are 41 parking spaces.

Founded in 1979, AutoZone has more than 7,000 stores across the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Meanwhile, construction is progressing on Dollar Tree’s 9,800-square-foot building at 915 E Main in Yukon Crossing. The company’s second Yukon store will be directly east of Auto Zone and Yukon Dentistry.

Project contractor Bolton Construction Services filed a $600,000 new commercial construction permit in January with Yukon Development Services.

Headquartered in Chesapeake, Va., Dollar Tree is a chain of more than 15,000 discount variety stores across the United States and Canada.

Dollar Tree’s first Yukon store is at 1300 W Vandament in the shopping center north of Yukon’s Walmart Supercenter.

Auto Zone and Dollar Tree are the latest additions to Yukon Crossing, a mixed-use planned unit development featuring storage, commercial, medical, and residential on the north side of Main Street west of Yukon Parkway.

Retail center tenants facing Highway 66 include Blossoms Blessings Flowers & Gifts, Hynson’s Classic Burgers, Coffee Jerks, Green Goodies Bakery, and 405 Pizza Co.

A new Okie Express car wash opened last year on the west side of the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
