The California State University Awards Zoom Contract for Video Conferencing

Video Conferencing Leader Adds The California State University to Impressive List of Education Sector Customers

/EINPresswire.com/ -- SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - February 10, 2016) - Zoom Video Communications, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded the system-wide contract for video and web conferencing services for The California State University. These services will be available this month across 21 CSU campuses, providing a unified platform for video, audio, and collaboration to approximately 400,000 students, faculty, and staff.

CSU is the latest major institution to join the ranks of 5,300 Zoom higher education customers. These institutions cite Zoom's high quality and reliability, affordable pricing, and unique features such as Video Breakout Rooms, true mobile screen sharing, and software-defined video conference room system Zoom Rooms as reasons for standardizing their universities on Zoom.

"Video collaboration is a vital part of the future of CSU. We knew we needed a platform that could enable our students, faculty, and staff to share knowledge and work together. After a rigorous evaluation process, Zoom was the clear choice," said Mark Crase, Assistant Vice Chancellor and CIO, The California State University.

"As a California company, we're proud that hundreds of thousands of students, faculty, and staff in our home state will now be Zooming. Our education solution provides a full feature set and ease of use to meet the needs of their diverse student population and academic research programs," said Eric S. Yuan, Founder and CEO of Zoom.
