REGINA, SK, CANADA, May 29, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- In partnership with the File Hills Qu’Appelle (FHQ) Tribal Council, Clarence Campeau Development Fund (CCDF), Saskatchewan Indian Equity Foundation (SIEF) and Economic Development Regina Inc., the most powerful Aboriginal-driven business development event is making its third foray into Saskatchewan, this time with an industry spotlight focusing on innovation and opportunities for partnerships in the agricultural and manufacturing space.— Thomas Benjoe, President and CEO of FHQ Developments
The Aboriginal Business Match (ABM) Spotlight: Agriculture & Manufacturing will connect community, national and international decision makers interested in building a more competitive business environment and tapping into critical market intelligence. This 2.5-day hyper-productive experience will create an intersection between Aboriginal communities and businesses across all sectors, including innovative agriculture development and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. Business-ready opportunities range from joint ventures in crop and livestock production to machinery manufacturing, transportation, industrial equipment training programs as well as partnerships in the aerospace and defence sector.
Delegates attending ABM create a schedule of up to 31 pre-selected appointments using ABM’s sophisticated business matching software prior to attending, which ensures meetings are focused and delegates can cut to the chase and get down to business.
With attendance from FHQ Tribal Council members, Meadow Lake Tribal Council representatives and Nations from all across Saskatchewan and Manitoba, decision makers can connect with over twenty of the most powerful Nations in the region.
"The forum that the Aboriginal Business Match provides to companies and communities in the Aboriginal market aligns with the long-term economic independence FHQ Development strives to see in our partners. We are pleased to take this opportunity to join the Clarence Campeau Development Fund and SIEF as a co-host," says Thomas Benjoe, President and CEO of FHQ Developments, the business development arm of the FHQ Tribal Council. "With Regina as our traditional territory, we know that agriculture and manufacturing are prime opportunities but only some of many opportunities to diversify."
The CCDF and the SIEF has been a co-host of every ABM taking place in the Saskatchewan region since 2014. The mandate of both organizations is to financially support community economic development initiatives, which is in line with ABM’s vision of providing a platform for Aboriginal self-determination.
“We offer an outstanding quality of life in Regina,” says Vice-President of Sector Development with the Economic Development Regina Inc., David Froh. “Along with good jobs, a stable investment environment, and a reasonable cost of living-we strive for clean air, open spaces, and closeness to nature, which we know are important values to our Aboriginal citizens. We are proud to call Regina Treaty 4 territory.”
The numbers speak for themselves. In 2016, 92% of delegates developed key contacts anticipating post-event deals and 2 in 5 generated revenue from attending the event. ABM Spotlight: Agriculture & Manufacturing takes place June 5 – 7, 2017 at the Delta Regina Conference Centre.
