Government analyses food supply programme

Lubango, ANGOLA, July 13 - Angolan government conducted Friday in Lugango, southern Huila province, a preliminary assessment for the implementation of the Food Supply Programme. ,

 

This was at 7th session of Cabinet Council’s Economic Commission, chaired by the President João Lourenço.

 

According to the final communiqué, session assessed the activities conducted by the major wholesale traders, the large retail outlets, the medium-sized wholesale importers and the operators of the fresh products, during the second quarter of this year.

 

The Commission was informed on the measures to ensure the good supply to the population in the next quarter and prepare for the festive season.

 

As for the ??public finances, the Cabinet Council reviewed the implementation of National Treasury Cash Plan for May 2018.

 

The Session also approached Financial Programming for the third quarter, as well as the Treasury Cash Plan for July this year.

 

In the extractive sector, the Session analysed the performance reports in the mining and oil sectors.

 

The meeting centred on implementation of measures to boost oil activity, production of natural gas and the report on refining and distribution of fuels.

 

The document includes measures to ensure the improvement of tax system and normal functioning of these aspects of the economy.

 

President João Lourenço began a two-day visit to Huila province on Friday.
