WEST PRICE HILL (FOX19) - St. Vincent de Paul has 3,000 jackets to give away this holiday season to help those in need and the organization began the first of its three coat drive days Saturday at Elder High School.

The Cincinnati charity organization – known for its grassroots "neighbors helping neighbors" mission –  collects jackets year-round to give out to families during the holidays.

"It's a great opportunity for the members of the community to get involved," Mike Dunn, Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul, said.

St. Vincent De Paul has drop off locations throughout Cincinnati, including at Gold Star Chili, Kemba Credit Union, participating fire stations, Lemasters Consulting, Your Cleaners, Valetone Cleaners, City Dash, Starr Printing and 1st Call Disaster Services.

Additional coat distributions are planned for Saturday, December 2 and Saturday, January 6.
