YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his working visit to Milan, Italy, Armenia’s Acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Thursday met with Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček of the Czech Republic.

The interlocutors exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries and on Armenian-Czech relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, they stressed their readiness to take steps toward further expanding and deepening their bilateral agenda.

Separately, Mnatsakanyan briefed his Czech colleague on the latest political developments in Armenia, and, in this connection, he touched also upon Sunday’s snap parliamentary election in the country.

The Armenian and Czech officials conferred also on the Armenia-European Union (EU) partnership. In this context, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan attached importance to the 10th anniversary of the EU’s Eastern Partnership.

In addition, the acting FM presented to Petříček Armenia’s stance on and approach toward finding solely a pacific resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict.
