WATERVILLE — Founder & CEO of MXH Marketing Mary Haley will discuss what community marketing opportunities really are and how to leverage them to engage current customers, attract new ones, and get the best return on your investment during the March 11 breakfast of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held from 7:15 to 9 a.m. in the Colby/Coburn Room at the Best Western Plus, 375 Main St.

According to a news release from the chamber, Haley is the owner and founder of MXH Marketing, a small Maine-based marketing and content creating company. She specializes in big ideas, small businesses, and the Maine outdoor, tourism and economic development industry. Starting as a raft guide for Northern Outdoors, she worked in outdoor recreation and tourism for 10 years while earning a master’s degree in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.

Combining her love for the outdoors and marketing, Haley pivoted to event coordination for Main Street Skowhegan and the Maine Outdoor Film Festival before launching her own marketing company. During her event planning tenure at these organizations, she facilitated a Guinness World Record (which won Main Street Skowhegan the Marketing and Promotions Award from the Maine Office of Tourism in 2018), founded Skijor Skowhegan, Maine’s first and New England’s only equestrian skijoring competition, and helped establish Portland’s first dedicated film festival.

The chamber holds monthly informative presentations on a variety of educational business topics. The cost of the breakfast is $20 for members, $27 at the door and for nonmembers. Breakfast is included with the reservation. All CDC regulations and guidelines are followed.
