Among its various educational activities, CurePSP sponsors and organizes family conferences across the country, providing people with the opportunity to learn more about PSP, CBD and MSA and to develop a sense of community. We recognize that these diseases present daily challenges for patients and families. The conferences include various speakers with in-the-field expertise - neurologists and movement disorder specialists who work directly with patients and their families. This two-day program focuses on the role of new therapies in treating patients with hematologic malignancies and place the evolving role of blood and marrow transplantation (BMT) in the appropriate context of these new therapies. An overview of the role of BMT in many of the hematologic malignancies is discussed, as well as an update on new cellular therapies related to BMT and how to best provide long-term follow-up for these patients.
