Can Fibromyalgia be Targeted with an Antiviral Treatment?

The Herpes Simplex Virus may cause Fibromyalgia (FM). Studies show that Gene-Eden-VIR, a natural antiviral supplement, reduces herpes symptoms.

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, March 24, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ --

“Infected with the herpes virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2)? The CBCD recommends taking Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD

Fibromyalgia may be linked to the presence of the herpes simplex virus (HSV), according to a study conducted by Dr. William Pridgen, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and researcher in the areas of chronic pain, IBS, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and other chronic idiopathic disorders. The study led by Dr. Pridgen included 143 patients and lasted four months. (1) Based on results of the study, Dr. Pridgen, and other scientists, now believe that herpes viruses, and specifically HSV-1 (also known as the cold sore virus), are the underlying cause of conditions like Fibromyalgia.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) suggests that individuals concerned about Fibromyalgia, and who are infected with HSV-1, try an antiviral treatment. These treatments include drugs such as acyclovir and valacyclovir, and antiviral supplements such as Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.

An article for Simmaron Research discussed the study mentioned above, and noted that “Dr. Pridgen saw a pattern emerge in his treatment of thousands of patients with chronic gastrointestinal issues that intrigued him. A patient would get better, but then experience a stressful event that would send him/her back into the soup. They would get better, but during the next relapse they would stay sick longer and their recovery period would be shorter. Eventually they would be sick all the time (2).”

According to the CDC, “Fibromyalgia is a disorder of unknown etiology characterized by widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbance, fatigue and often psychological distress. People with Fibromyalgia may also have other symptoms; such as: morning stiffness, tingling or numbness in hands and feet, headaches, including migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, sleep disturbances, cognitive problems with thinking and memory (sometimes called "fibro fog"), painful menstrual periods and other pain syndromes.” (3).

The formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was shown to reduce HSV symptoms in two post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements.

The formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the formula is effective against the herpes simplex virus, and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HSV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (4) The study authors also wrote that, “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (4)

The formula of each contains 5 natural ingredients. These are selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. That's 4 plant extracts and 1 trace element. Each ingredient of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals around the world to identify the highest quality, safest, most effective natural ingredients that target latent viruses. Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are the only natural antiviral products that were tested in clinical studies. These studies showed that the formula reduced herpes simplex symptoms.

Are there treatments against the herpes virus?

“Two types of antiviral treatments against HSV are available: topical and oral. The treatments include penciclovir, acyclovir, famciclovir, and valaciclovir. However, their effectiveness is limited. For instance, a meta-analysis of five placebo-controlled and two dose comparison studies evaluated the effect of aciclovir, famciclovir or valaciclovir on symptoms. The meta-analysis showed that oral antiviral therapy decreases the duration and the associated pain of an outbreak by merely one day.” (4). There are also natural antiviral products that studies show to be safe and effective in reducing herpes symptoms. Two of these products are Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin.

Novirin shares the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. The difference between the two is that Novirin has higher quality, more expensive ingredients.
