Rapid expansion leads to first official Spicule headquarters

NORWICH, NORFOLK, UNITED KINGDOM, August 14, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Tech start-up Spicule has established its first official headquarters, following the rapid expansion of their business and an international recruitment drive.

Until recently, the data engineering company was based at the University of East Anglia’s Enterprise Centre, but after outgrowing the space, they are now operating from offices in Long Stratton, South Norfolk. The move comes after Spicule recruited new developers in the UK, Brazil and the USA to form their core team.

“This is the next phase of our development and we’re excited about the opportunities our new recruits and the extra space will bring us,” explains Spicule CEO Tom Barber. “The Enterprise Centre was the perfect incubator for our business and being there allowed us to establish Spicule and develop our core offer. With a growing presence internationally, we need a creative space to work up new initiatives and to bring in our global developers via video-conferencing. Our new office allows us to do all those things and have plenty of room to store all our hardware.”

With clients including NASA and the UK Government, Spicule already has a solid reputation for providing high-quality consultancy in DevOps and systems automation. Under Tom’s leadership, the development team design and build highly scalable platforms for their customers using open source software, modified to bespoke requirements. With projects running across the world for international partners and clients, the future for Spicule looks bright.

“Our location in South Norfolk allows us to remain part of the local business community, which is important to us,” explains Tom. “Working at the Enterprise Centre allowed us to forge strong relationships with other start-ups and professionals, and we know there’s plenty of developer talent in the vicinity. We’re always interested in meeting other tech professionals and finding out if there are any opportunities to work together.”

Spicule is recruiting. If you’d like to apply, please send your CV to jobs@spicule.co.uk.
