National Police recommend staff accountability

Luanda, ANGOLA, August 16 - The general commander of National Police Paulo de Almeida Thursday recommended the corporation to hold police officers accountable and removal for their involvement in criminal acts. ,

 

 

According to Paulo de Almeida, the police must prevent the growing trend of crime, prevent and combat criminal actions, to safeguard public order and tranquility.

 

The general commander was addressing a first meeting with the provincial police commanders, aimed at presenting the guidelines of the corporation.

 

The commander, who slammed the involvement of police officers in criminal acts, said that the staff should mobilise citizens, public, private and religious institutions to cooperate in preventing and combating offence.

 

He directed the provincial commanders to improve police coverage at the level of the cities, municipalities, communes and neighborhoods.

 

In his speech, Paulo de Almeida spoke of the need for the judiciary to continue handling the issues in accordance with the Law and the patriotic conscience.
