InMode Announces PRS Publication and Launch of Aviva Technology For The Women’s Health and Wellness Market

New developments impact functional medicine and pelvic floor restoration for women

LAKE FOREST, Calif., May 13, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InMode Ltd., a leading global provider of innovative, energy-based solutions, announces new restorative developments for the women’s health and wellness market.

New Peer-Reviewed Publication for Women’s Health and Wellness:

InMode announces the results of a retrospective multicenter study published in PRS Global Open Journal on post-partum pelvic floor restoration using Votiva. The study was conducted by Dr. Erez Dayan, Dr. Henry Ramirez, Dr. Spero Theodorou, and Lacy Westfall, NP.

This study outlines the use of InMode’s Votiva bipolar RF device for pelvic floor restoration in 50 patients experiencing pelvic floor disease symptoms after vaginal childbirth. Patients were at least six weeks post-delivery and had symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. Results of the study indicated that there was a significant quantifiable improvement in maximal pelvic floor contraction and that radiofrequency was safe for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.

President of InMode North America, Shakil Lakhani, comments, “We are excited to offer a solution for mothers post-pregnancy to restore their pelvic floor function. With no adverse events reported, this study establishes Votiva as a safe and effective option for women across the globe.”

Introduction of New Aviva Technology:

InMode is pleased to launch Aviva, a minimally invasive procedure that restores the function and appearance of the vulva by offering a non-excisional alternative to a labiaplasty. Aviva is powered by AccuTite to deliver safe and uniform heat to the entire soft tissue matrix of the labia minora, labia majora, clitoral hood, vaginal introitus and perineal body. This innovative procedure can be done under local anesthesia, in an office setting, in less than 20 minutes, without excising excess skin.

Dr. Christine Hamori, an Ivy-League trained, board-certified plastic surgeon, will be presenting her initial findings at The Aesthetics Meeting 2019. The Aesthetics Meeting is the annual meeting for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and will take place in New Orleans May 16-21.

“I believe Aviva will be a game changer in aesthetic surgery,” says Dr. Hamori. “Downtime and visible scars are the two issues that deter potential labiaplasty patients from proceeding with surgery. Aviva offers women a scarless natural result, with less downtime.”

“We are pleased that Votiva and Aviva have received positive feedback and validated clinical results,” says Moshe Mizrahy, co-founder and CEO of InMode. “InMode intends to develop new technologies and procedures for women’s health, and lead innovation in this market.”
