Looking for Steve Kaufman's signed Michael Jackson paintings

Looking for Steve Kaufman's signed Michael Jackson paintings

"We are getting tons of emails and calls looking for the portraits."

Los Angeles, CA - June 30, 2009 -- In 1995 King of Pop Michael Jackson signed 2 portrait painted by Pop Artist Steve Kaufman who is the former assistant to Andy Warhol.

When Steve met Michael he offered to paint a limited edition portrait as he had done for Muhammad Ali and Frank Sinatra. The limited edition didn't happen but Steve did paint 2 portraits of Michael which Michael Jackson signed.

Steve gave Michael 2 Superman paintings as a gift at that time of the signing.
The Michael Jackson paintings have been rolled and stored for the past 14 years in Steve's 26,000 sq foot art studio off Melrose in LA CA.

The problem is that Steve had 2 major strokes with the most recent this April and a minor stroke last weekend so he is finding it hard to remember exactly where they are stored. He has his staff looking for the paintings as well as the photos of Michael Jackson that were taken during the signing of the paintings. Steve said “they are here, we just have to find them."

When found they will be sold through Barrington Gallery of London Art gallery located in NYC. 100% of the money Steve Kaufman's art studio receives from the sale of these portraits will be donated to Steve's charity Give Kids A Break, a charity that Steve started that helps inner city kids get jobs.

Steve Kaufman's art has been seen on TV Shows: E!, Tyra Banks, Playboy's The Girls Next Door, Trump, MTV Cribs, Larry King, HBO Oscar De La Hoya vs. Mayweather and HBO Sopranos.

"They say that art comes from the soul, the more drama in an artist's life the more he can drawn on for his art. Van Gogh and Picasso had troubled souls, but poor Steve Kaufman has been shot once, stabbed 3 times - all by women - that is a lot of drama for great art."
~Robin Leach

"If an artist is well known in life, he will become more famous in death, Van Gogh, Dali, Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein never saw their art in auction houses commanding the high prices while their were alive. As an art collector with many millions of dollars in antiques over the last thirty years, I consider Steve Kaufman art work to be the most collectible and having possibility of appreciation of anything, included gold, jewelry, silver and other commodities that have risen dramatically in the last year and seen those same commodities drop in value in the past 5 months but Kaufman's value has risen."
~ Don Specter
